 • Unlimited Pre-event coordination calls and emails
 • Pre-event shopping and preparation
 • Custom bar menu design
 • Event Bar Manager to ensure smooth setup and flawless bar service
 • 2 RAMP bartenders (up to 130 Guests)
 • 5 Hours of bar service from cocktail start to bar close.(includes transition time between cocktail hour and dinner)
 • Bar Set up (2hrs) and Bar Clean up/Tear Down (1hr)
 • Staff Dressed in Black shirt, black tie and black bartenders apron (customized if desired)
 • All professional bar equipment needed to chill, mix, and serve drinks
(ice chests/bins, bottle openers, shakers, bar spoons, etc.)
 • $1M / $3M General Liability & Liquor Liability Insurance
 • Bar trash removal
(trash generated by bartenders behind the bar during drink service)

What is included in your bartending packages?

Everything you need for a successful and stress-free bar service! We take care of all the details so you can relax and enjoy your event. From glassware to napkins, straws, and ice, we provide all the essentials to serve and ice down your beverages. If your venue doesn't have a physical bar, don't worry – we bring our own bar setups, complete with decor, included with all our packages.

Our Alcohol Concierge Package is also included.  We will help calculate how much alcohol you need based on what you want to offer and the budget range you want to stay within.  Assist you with placing orders with stores and assisting you making payments with the stores.  Then we pick up everything and deliver with us the day of your event.  This way you have a totally hand-free expereience.  We pay attention to every detail to ensure your bar is well-stocked and beautifully presented.

Question 3

Why don't your bartending packages include alcohol?

Accepted Answer

In Pennsylvania, a liquor license is required to sell alcohol, and there is no provision for a mobile liquor license.

This means caterers and mobile bartending companies like us cannot include alcohol in our packages. As the host, you are responsible for purchasing the alcohol separately. Always verify that any company claiming to include alcohol in their packages has a valid liquor license to avoid potential issues.

Do you offer JUST bartenders?

No, we do not offer just bartenders. We believe in providing a comprehensive service that goes beyond just staffing. Just as your caterer doesn't expect you to source all the ingredients and supplies needed for your meals, why should you have to do that for your bar?

We understand that your time is valuable, especially in the busy weeks leading up to your wedding or event. Running around to gather glassware, napkins, sodas, mixers, fruit, and other bar essentials can be time-consuming and stressful, even if you have a list to check items off of. Plus, there's always the concern of not getting enough or running out during the event.

That's why we prefer to handle everything for you, taking all these tasks off your plate. From stocking the bar with all necessary supplies to ensuring you have enough of everything, we strive to make the bar setup and operation as seamless and stress-free as possible, allowing you to focus on enjoying your special day.

Question 5

Do you provide non-alcoholic options?

Accepted Answer

Yes! While our main focus is on crafting cocktails and serving beer and wine, we also cater to guests who prefer non-alcoholic options.

All our packages include a self-serve non-alcoholic station with options like water, iced tea, and lemonade.

Additionally, we offer sodas, juices, non-alcoholic beer, and wine upon request. This ensures that everyone at your event has delightful drink choices, making it an inclusive experience for all.

If we are not serving all of your guests, we are only doing half of our job.

Question 6

What is the dress code for your staff?

At The Traveling Tap, our staff maintain a professional and cohesive appearance. They arrive in The Traveling Tap apparel for setup and then change into black button-up shirts, black slacks, black ties, and bartender aprons.

We also offer customization for themed events. Just let us know your theme, and we'll ensure our team dresses accordingly to enhance the overall atmosphere of your event.

Question 7

How many RAMP trained staff will we have?

Accepted Answer

For events ranging from 0 to 125 guests, we provide a minimum of 2 staff members who are RAMP trained. As the guest count increases beyond 125, we suggest an additional staff member for every 50 guests.

Why do we have a minimum of 2 bartenders regardless of event size?

There are several reasons for this:

Continuous Service: Your bartenders are on duty for approximately 8-10 hours, from setup to clean-up. Having a minimum of 2 staff members ensures that there are always bartenders available to serve your guests, even if one needs to take a break.

Uninterrupted Service: In many venues, space constraints may limit the storage of extra bar equipment near the bar area. Therefore, when restocking is required, having 2 staff members means the bar can continue operating smoothly without interruption, as one bartender can assist with restocking while the other tends to guests.

Ensuring a minimum of 2 RAMP trained staff members at all times not only guarantees responsible alcohol management but also ensures a seamless and uninterrupted bar service experience for you and your guests throughout the event.

Question 8

One of our biggest fears is lines at the bar. How do you make sure that is not an issue?

We completely understand your concern, we have been guests at weddings and the lines at cocktail hour seem to take forever!

We take proactive measures to ensure that lines at the bar are minimized for your event. Here's how we address this:

Proper Staffing: As above, we prioritize proper staffing for your event to ensure smooth bar operations. That's why we have a minimum of 2 staff members for every event. This ensures that there are enough hands on deck to serve your guests efficiently and promptly. Even our bar backs are RAMP trained, meaning they can step in to assist during busy periods, whether it's restocking supplies or serving beer and wine. This allows our bartenders to focus on crafting delicious cocktails for your guests, ensuring everyone's drink needs are met without delays.

Signature Cocktail Station: We wholeheartedly believe in the effectiveness of Signature Cocktails and a dedicated signature cocktail station.

We strategically place a satellite bar for your Signature Cocktails close to the area where your guests will be arriving from the ceremony to the cocktail hour. Our Signature Cocktails are pre-made and ready to be handed out as your guests arrive. This approach ensures that drinks are quickly and easily accessible for your guests upon their arrival, reducing wait times at the main bar.

Through the implementation of these strategies, we've achieved the remarkable feat of ensuring that guests at events even with 200 guests have had drinks in hand in under 15 minutes.

This achievement guarantees a seamless and enjoyable experience for you and your guests, eliminating the inconvenience of long lines at the bar.

What if you run out of ice or non-alcoholic options during the event?

This is precisely why opting for a full-service bartending company like ours is advantageous over piecemeal providers. We take proactive steps to guarantee an ample supply of all essentials tailored to your event's scale. Our meticulous planning and preparation ensure that shortages are avoided.

Moreover, we have dedicated staff available on-call to swiftly address and replenish any supplies if needed during the event. Your satisfaction and enjoyment are paramount to us, and we are committed to ensuring a seamless and delightful experience throughout.

Question 10

Do your bartenders bus tables?

Accepted Answer

As a dedicated bartending company, our primary focus is on providing exceptional service at the bar to ensure your guests have a wonderful experience. If our bartenders are occupied with bussing tables, it means they are not available at the bar serving your guests.

However, if the bar is slow and there is an opportunity to assist with bussing tables without compromising bar service, our staff will gladly lend a hand. We understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized event space, as nobody likes to see guests playing Jenga with stacks of glassware!

Question 11

Do you offer tastings for your signature cocktails?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do! 🍹We believe in providing a personalized experience for our clients, similar to how you wouldn't select your meals from a book with a caterer. Couples are invited to our offices for a Signature Cocktail Tasting, which doubles as a fun date night!

You can select 5 drinks from our Signature cocktail book for us to prepare. Plus, we provide a charcuterie board to cleanse your palate between drinks and because what's a cocktail without something to nibble on?

Do you card?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Similar to the protocol followed by bartenders or servers at restaurants, we diligently check identification for anyone who appears to be under the age of 35. If a guest cannot provide a valid ID, we are unable to serve them.

This strict adherence to the law is essential, even at private events, as Pennsylvania's HOST LAW holds hosts accountable for any underage guests served alcohol or for any instances of over-serving, regardless of who served them. To safeguard both the host, the venue and our business, we prioritize compliance with state laws. Ensuring a safe and legal environment is paramount, as no wedding gift, no matter how thoughtful, can mitigate the consequences of legal liabilities.

Question 13

Can we do a Cash Bar?

Unfortunately, No. In Pennsylvania, you must have a liquor license to sell alcohol, which means only "Open Bars" are permitted at events.

We are a 501(c)(3) hosting a fundraiser and we want to offer alcohol, can you help us?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! We possess substantial expertise in collaborating with 501(c)(3) organizations for their fundraising events and are fully prepared to support you with your alcohol service requirements.

We can lead you through the procedure of obtaining a Special Occasions Permit. Additionally, we offer equipment for ID checks at the doors and a POS system to ensure precise records and swift payments, including credit card transactions. This ensures a seamless and trouble-free experience for your event. With a history of successful partnerships with various organizations, we are dedicated to aiding you in achieving your fundraising objectives while adhering to all relevant regulations.

Question 15

What is your policy on serving shots?

Accepted Answer

We have a strict NO shots policy, as most venues also enforce this rule. This policy helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Over a course of an evening your guests will have on average 6-8 cocktails!  Throw shots on top of that and that is just a mess waiting to happen!

Question 16

Do you Travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes we do.  There is a party somewhere and we go everywhere!

Travel within Lancaster County is included in all packages.  Outside of that, there is a travel fee based on milage and travel time.
